The TYRNOS B Trolling Lite has been redesigned to optimize performance when fishing with natural or artificial lures and thin lines. The high-quality carbon blank is made of high pressure carbon, reinforced with biofiber and Shimano's Twist Control technology. All of this combined results in a lighter blank without sacrificing power and control during the fight. Attributes that are essential when hunting powerful sea predators such as tuna and fanfish. The versatile semi-parabolic action ensures maximum fighting pleasure, especially when light lines are used. The stunningly shiny blanks are equipped with an aluminum Pac Bay reel seat and Fuji K-Type guides, which are mounted "spirally". This configuration, which differs significantly from a conventional ring, guides the line from the top to the bottom of the rod, starting at the starter ring. This results in an improved line guide and drill performance.

When using SHIMANO fishing rods and reels, it is essential to ensure the safety as well as the fishing experience of the user.

General safety information

Handle hooks with care: Always cover the fishing hooks or remove them from the rods for transport. Use corks or hook covers to avoid accidental injury.
Keep your distance: Fish at least 10 metres away from others to avoid accidents. Watch out for people behind you before casting.
Train beginners: Instruct children and beginners in the safe handling of rods and hooks to minimise risks. Safety distance: Always keep a distance of at least six metres from high-voltage power lines when carrying or using fishing rods.

Notes on safe use

Avoid high sticking: Do not bend your rod too much while you are drilling a fish, which is known as ‘high sticking’. Hold the rod at a maximum loading angle of 45 to 60 degrees to avoid breakage.
Aligning the rod for snags: If your lure snags, keep the rod pointed at the hook while walking backwards to reduce the strain on the rod.
Be careful with carbon fibre: Carbon fibre rods are strong but can be brittle. Avoid dropping them or banging them against hard surfaces as this can cause damage.
Safe transport: Always take your rod apart and place it in a protective cover during transport to prevent damage from external influences.
Carbon fibre rods conduct electricity. Do not use them during thunderstorms or near power lines.
Never try to pull bait or leaders out of trees or bushes by applying pressure to the rod and fishing line. This can result in the bait/lead being catapulted towards the angler. Use only your hands to free the bait/lead.
