Losing your line or hook because you haven't used the right leader line is an easily avoidable scenario. The right leader line ensures a secure and stable connection between the fishing line and the hook or hook. You can create this connection using knots, prefabricated leaders or in crimp sleeves. If the leader line breaks, you only need to replace this and not your entire main line.

Choosing the right leader line

In principle, choose the leader line so that it is thinner than your main line. This means that it will not be recognized by fish in the immediate vicinity, or only poorly.
