SHIMANO Curado Spinning FAST 2.13m 5-15g

The CURADO was originally developed for the American black bass market, but is also perfect for European predatory fish species such as zander and perch. The Curado is available in both casting and spinning versions and is a perfect match for the popular Curado baitcasters. It offers excellent value for money, combined with a modern look. The responsive and lightweight full carbon blanks feature Shimano's exclusive Hi-Power X technology. This reduces blank twist when casting, which improves precision and provides more power reserves in the lower part of the blank, which in turn significantly optimizes the drill performance. The fast-action blanks catapult a wide range of lure weights to impressive casting distances. Equipped with high-quality Fuji guides, a lightweight Shimano Custom Ci4+ reel seat and a modern EVA split grip, there are five casting models and three spinning models to choose from.

When using SHIMANO fishing rods and reels, it is essential to ensure the safety as well as the fishing experience of the user.

General safety information

Handle hooks with care: Always cover the fishing hooks or remove them from the rods for transport. Use corks or hook covers to avoid accidental injury.
Keep your distance: Fish at least 10 metres away from others to avoid accidents. Watch out for people behind you before casting.
Train beginners: Instruct children and beginners in the safe handling of rods and hooks to minimise risks. Safety distance: Always keep a distance of at least six metres from high-voltage power lines when carrying or using fishing rods.

Notes on safe use

Avoid high sticking: Do not bend your rod too much while you are drilling a fish, which is known as ‘high sticking’. Hold the rod at a maximum loading angle of 45 to 60 degrees to avoid breakage.
Aligning the rod for snags: If your lure snags, keep the rod pointed at the hook while walking backwards to reduce the strain on the rod.
Be careful with carbon fibre: Carbon fibre rods are strong but can be brittle. Avoid dropping them or banging them against hard surfaces as this can cause damage.
Safe transport: Always take your rod apart and place it in a protective cover during transport to prevent damage from external influences.
Carbon fibre rods conduct electricity. Do not use them during thunderstorms or near power lines.
Never try to pull bait or leaders out of trees or bushes by applying pressure to the rod and fishing line. This can result in the bait/lead being catapulted towards the angler. Use only your hands to free the bait/lead.
