Rap® Haku - haku is Finnish for seek - is looking for trouble and is ready to fight with the big mamas. X-Rap® Haku is built tough for big fish and features Rapala's® proprietary 3R System titanium release rig with VMC® Coastal Black hooks. When set, the hooks are positioned like a normal glide jerkbait and the rig rests in the belly groove of the lure, out of the way and protected from weed and snags and other obstructions. When the hook is set, the hook rig detaches from the body, allowing direct contact with the fish and giving the fish no chance to use the lure as a lever for stripping. The device also makes it easier for the angler to remove the hook as the body of the lure is not in the way. X-Rap® Haku can be used for various presentations and is super easy to use. The gliding motion can be created either by twitching the rod or by a stop & go retrieve. A twitch with the rod produces a faster sideways turn, while a stop & go retrieve allows for a longer gliding motion. A quick retrieve between stops mimics escaping prey fish. 3R - Rapala® Release Rig - System is built into the lure, and gets out of the way when in use. When the hook is set, the clip on the tail releases the lure from the body, allowing direct contact with the fish and giving the fish no chance to use the lure as leverage to free itself. The durable rig is made of 100 lbs titanium wire and features a solid connecting ring, heavy-duty split rings and premium VMC® Coastal Black round bend treble hooks.
