The Aldebaran BFS is Shimano's best ultra-finesse baitcaster. It was built specifically for the lightest lures and rigs in finesse fishing. This super-light reel, which operates at the highest level in terms of technology, can even transport 1 gram "heavy" lures to good distances. As a friend of small lures or an angler specializing in smaller fish species (perch, trout, etc.), you have to love the Aldebaran BFS. Even anglers who have previously used a fixed spool reel to cast their finesse lures will immediately notice the advantages of the Aldebaran. A quick bend of the rod tip sends even the lightest of light lures on a smooth flight. If the weather conditions change - or the lure weight - you can immediately readjust the selector wheel and have the perfect setting ready in a fraction of a second. The outstandingly smooth casting performance of the Aldebaran BFS is based on the FTB (Finesse Tun Braking) system. The combination of magnets and a centrifugal braking system works perfectly with the super-lightweight MGL III spool to control the braking during the cast. The S3D spool design and SilentTune take casting performance to a new level. If you set the drag control dial to the lowest setting, virtually no drag force can be felt. However, the Aldebaran BFS is not only characterized by its ingenious casting properties. Inside are a Micromodule gearbox and X-Ship - guaranteeing smooth running and cranking power in the fight with big fish. The weight has also been reduced to a minimum thanks to the Hagane body made of magnesium and Ci4+ material. Light lure experts who prefer a fast reel will be picked up by the HG and XG models. Both versions are equipped with Shimano's Exciting Drag Sound, so you can hear the fighting drag scream during the fight and react even faster to spontaneous escapes.
