Sea Trout Lures Abu Garcia

Welcome to brand store

Sea Trout Lures

The sea trout is not only a popular catch in the landing net, but also a very popular food fish. The sea trout grows to an average size of around 60 centimetres and can reach lengths of up to 130 centimetres under ideal living conditions. The torpedo-shaped, gray-silver salmon fish is a predatory fish and prefers to feed on small fish, crabs and shrimp. In order to be able to go after the large sea trout, we at Tackle Deals offer a huge range of tackle so that the next bite won't be long in coming!

Sea trout lures – spoons & wobblers

First of all, there is no such thing as the right lure for sea trout; it is the variation and personal taste that make the difference. Basically, two bait types have established themselves when fishing for sea trout: the spoon and the wobbler.

Spoons generally have very good flight characteristics and are straight or slightly rounded in shape. The weight varies between 12 to 30 grams.

Sea trout plugs differ from sea trout plugs mainly due to the lack of a diving lip and have a weight of 15 to 25 grams. The major advantage of wobblers over spoons is the slower sinking phase for the same weight. This can be an advantage, especially in very shallow waters.

A special form of sea trout lures are running lures, which are hollow on the inside. The line is threaded through the hook and a swivel is attached to the front end. The hook is attached to the rear end. A major advantage of this sea trout lure is the lively movement of the lure under water, which should encourage the sea trout to bite.

The color of your fish should be adapted to the season and the water quality.

In clear water, use natural colors, such as:

  • Blue silver
  • Green silver
  • Copper & gold

In murky water, choose signal colors, such as:

  • Red
  • Orange
  • Neon colors
