Jig Rods

Jigging refers to the practice of letting an artificial rubber bait bounce over the bottom. Most bites occur during the sinking phase of the lure. For this reason, the line must be as tight as possible before the fish hits the surface of the water, otherwise the fine bites will not be noticed. With the help of a jig rod specially made for this type of fishing, it is possible to achieve excellent fishing control and a far more variable fishing action than with other rods.

Targeted fishing for perch, zander & pike with jig rods

What characterizes a jig rod is the hardness of the rod and the fast tip action. As a result, you can also notice even light grips through to hard-to-notice holding bites right into the hand section. If the rod is too soft and bends as soon as the fish hangs on it, it is difficult to lift it far enough off the ground. For this reason, a hard jig rod that does not wobble and has a hard backbone is recommended.

The right casting weight is best chosen according to your target fish. A casting weight of around 30 g is sufficient for perch. For pike and zander, it can also be a little more.

With a jig rod, you have more control when jigging

By using a jig rod, you have the opportunity to lift the fish again after jumping, to make it jump faster by using the crank, to make it break out sideways and much, much more. There are no limits to your imagination when jigging with the jig rod, as you have every opportunity to influence the bait when jumping and pulling.

The best way to notice the bite is with your finger on the line or on the blank. A bite is often also noticeable by a slight stopping of the lure during the sinking phase. At best, you will feel a hard jerk that goes through the rod. When jigging, it is advisable to jerk even at the slightest sign so as not to miss any possible bites.

With a jig rod from Tackle Deals you are perfectly advised. In our range you will find rods for all areas of application and every situation. Grab a high-quality jig rod from well-known manufacturers now and enjoy jig fishing.
