QUANTUM Smoke S3 SM25XPT

The Quantum Smoke 3 focuses on "metal where it matters", because the third edition of the Smoke also has the visually appealing skeleton design. This has dramatically reduced the weight of the reel without sacrificing strength. The reel has a robust metal body that ensures ultra-smooth gear operation. Wherever metal has to be used, it has been used, but weight-optimized. The new Reel Engine Design 2.0 - RED for short - ensures silky smooth running and optimum line lay - even with ultra-thin braided lines. The rotor consists of a composite of aerospace plastic and long carbon fibers (approx. 10 mm), which is extremely difficult to process but achieves incredible strength.

The Smoke also boasts a so-called "braid band". This is a specially manufactured rubber ring on the spool that allows the braid to be wound on immediately without having to wind a feeder line onto the spool core first. The braid sits securely on the rubber so that it cannot slip through.
