Special fishing technique when fishing with jerkbaits

Jerkbaits are used as Wobble, topwater baits, spoons and many other artificial baits used for spin fishing. However, jerkbaits usually require a special technique and targeted rod movements to imitate a wounded prey fish perfectly.

For example, you can hold the rod in a horizontal position. Then make jerking movements from left to right on the rod during the retrieve. These jerking strokes are irresistible to predatory fish. To perfect this technique, you need to train and practice for a while, but then you have the best chance of landing a record pike.

Jerkbaits are on average heavier than other spinning lures.
