Wet feet are a thing of the past! Fortunately, there are special waders and waders to prevent getting wet in and on the water. This means that your fishing pleasure is not spoiled by wet clothing and freezing limbs. When fishing, we often wade through shallow water, swampy terrain or mud. Waterproof pants, shoes, socks and co keep the water away from our clothing. It is important that the pants are completely waterproof.

The special thing about waders and clothing is the robust and sealed material. The shoes or boots are firmly and completely sealed to the pants so that no water can penetrate. Depending on your requirements, chest-high, hip-high or knee-high wading boots or pants are recommended. Tight-fitting waders are ideal, as there is no risk of air getting into the pants in the event of a fall. If the air reaches your feet, it will be very difficult to let it escape again and keep your head above the water, as your feet will float upwards.

Waders for staying dry in the water

The waders and shoes are designed to be used directly in the water. The material should ideally be made of neoprene or nylon to ensure protection against moisture. The nylon pants are absolutely waterproof. The seams are specially glued or welded. Many pants have trouser straps so that they can be quickly and easily pulled over normal clothing. As the nylon does not provide extra warmth, it is important to wear warm underwear, such as thermal pants, in cold water. Breathable pants are water-repellent up to a water column of 20,000 mm. This means you can stand in the water and fish for a long time in summer without sweating under your waders.

Waders made from neoprene

Neoprene offers excellent thermal insulation, allowing you to spend long periods in cold water without any problems. But you will get wet. Do not wear clothing that cannot get wet under neoprene waders. The material soaks up water and warms with a sophisticated material technology through the evaporation of water on the skin. For this technique to work, the waders must fit snugly around the body. Air bubbles cool out more quickly. The thicker the neoprene, the warmer.

Waterproof shoes for use on and in the water

Wading shoes are particularly robust and waterproof fishing shoes. They are made from a durable and strong mix of materials that reliably keep out water. Like trekking boots, the soles are equipped with deep treads so that you have enough grip on soft and slippery ground.
