LT "Light & Tough" concept
The principle of minimalism and the focus on the essentials is continued in the new 19' Certate series. The LT technology with higher sensitivity, but at the same time with more power, has so far only been realized in the Exist LT - now it is joined by the new Certate LT. The compact design of the reel body includes an enlarged Tough DigiGear gearbox and offers an even smoother and longer-lasting, optimal run.

Monocoque body
A true milestone in reel construction, another highlight of the new Certate LT - our monocoque body offers an incredibly torsion-resistant frame that can withstand the highest stresses and strains.

This stronger, one-piece body structure is more compact and smaller in external dimensions and offers even more space inside the body than conventional spinning reels. Due to the absence of screws and sockets, the additional interior space can be used for an enlarged gear drive wheel, which takes up approx. 85% of the reel body surface area.

MagSealed technology
The unique technology from the aerospace industry enables permanently smooth running without frictional resistance. The smooth running of this reel is impressive and the starting resistance has been reduced by 15% compared to the previous model. In addition, DAIWA has virtually eliminated the ingress of salt water and dirt particles into the reel body via the main axis by using MagSealed technology.

Tough DigiGear gearing
The new 19' Certate LT uses the innovative Tough DigiGear gearbox - a further development of the DigiGear II gearbox.

By using the latest CAD technologies, the influence of unexpected forces in particular was simulated during the development of this drive wheel and the drive wheel was optimized in a number of key points. The extremely high strength and load-bearing capacity of cold-forged Dura-Aluminum, which is milled on ultra-precise CNC machines, also contributes to the extreme load-bearing capacity.

The barrel is virtually silent and offers unprecedented sensitivity to detect even the finest bites right down to the fingertips.

The combination of these three elements is united in the new Tough DigiGear gear and enables an unprecedented, silky-smooth running.
